Music & movement classes are included as part of our curriculum on a weekly basis.

Spanish music class

Our music classes are presented both in Spanish and English. Children learn a repertoire of songs in both languages. We incorporate different music types including Salsa, Tango, Merengue and Cumbia! Through these exciting genres, children are exposed to a variety of rhythms and compositions. Additionally, children explore a large variety of instruments from all over the world. Our talented music teachers, Cheo Pardo and Neil Ochoa are professional musicians that bring in live instruments to every class. Music classes and filled with fun, movement and learning!

Movement class

IMPACT is the perfect movement program for preschoolers. The vocabulary used in this program derives from a combination of dance, acrobatics, athletics, conditioning, and circus. IMPACT class is great for young learners who enjoy pushing their physical limits. We embrace a personal-best philosophy and use a call-and-response system to encourage students to work as a team or in pairs while exploring bodily alignment, basic locomotor skills, beginning tumbling, and a safe and fun distribution of impact across different surfaces of the body using soft mats and obstacle course equipment.

Every summer, Casa Montessori offers a mini camp where we study several well-known artists  to provide an exciting art-based experience for the children. Every week we focus on a different artist and the children have the opportunity to engage in varying activities that will reflect that artists’ particular style. The work of these creators will inspire the children to generate their own work while having a fun (and messy!!) time together. Additionally, we will spend lots of time outside basking in the sun and playing in the sprinklers!

parent nights

We hold one curriculum night during the winter. Parents are invited to attend this informative night where the school staff explains one of the areas of the classroom in detail. Teachers set up all the Montessori materials for a particular area and parents have the opportunity to see the teachers giving classical Montessori lessons as well as interacting with the materials.
